Hump-day update |
January 6, 2005
I'm loving my new job so far. My first project was a simple exhibitor and delegate signup system for the TN State Safety Congress. I finished it pretty quick and am now waiting for testing to be completed. They say I will need to incorporate some basic icons and graphics to 'pretty it up' and stuff. Fun. :)
I released all my PHP scripts on Freshmeat today. Weird, they didn't know what a 'topsite' was. Usually when I don't know what something is, I go look it up on Google. I figured by now everyone used Google, but I guess not everyone. Google sure knew what a topsite is: 1,420,000 results.
Mr. Hardison, from my last job, told me they had a bunch of layoffs today. My contract was cut short and they told me they were having trouble with the budget. Then I heard the layoff news today so I guess they weren't kidding. Layoffs are a bummer.
I sent Juzzy my Image Rating install_0.4.0.sql to test on MySQL 3.x since he still had an old install running. It works on MySQL 4.x, but I want to get the table structures to work with 3.x as well. There is an issue with my not null and default '' clauses.
